We are looking to take on a support engineer to join our talented and growing support team. This role would assist with expanding Arbor’s global client base.

The role is for a graduate trainee in our London office, and would involve working closely with and supporting clients.

You will be trained in detailed processes involved in supporting and deploying our systems. An understanding of accounting and financial markets is essential.

Typical tasks will include:

  • System support calls
  • On boarding of new clients
  • Setting up and loading funds
  • Visiting clients
  • Issue management
  • Batch job monitoring and issue resolution
  • Ad-hoc project work
  • Maintaining user documentation in line with product developments
  • Server and workstation deployment
  • Process documentation

The technology used in our systems includes: SQL, XML, FTP and encryption.

You will be expected to already have a basic understanding of these technologies and will be questioned on these during the interview process.

As an excellent communicator with good verbal and written English you will be expected to communicate directly with clients and colleagues on both technical and functional issues.

Candidate Expectations

Qualifications:

  • Business or Numerate based degree, minimum 2.2 level (or equivalent).

Experience in:

Client interaction in any field

  • Project management
  • MS Office products
  • Working under pressure

Attributes:

  • Dedicated team player with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
  • To be able to work under pressure with attention to detail

Preferable skills:

  • Database usage (i.e. SQL Server)
  • Understanding of financial products and markets (Equities, Swaps, Futures, Bonds…)
  • Investment banking and Hedge Fund knowledge
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Good at making tea

We are looking to take on a new graduate position in this exciting and dynamic industry.

The role is for a trainee business analyst to work closely with clients (hedge funds and brokers) on understanding their business requirements plus managing associated support and development tasks.

You will be trained in detailed processes involved in portfolio management so a good understanding of accounting and financial markets is essential.

As an excellent communicator you will be expected to demonstrate your new found knowledge through the delivery of detailed documentation and discussions with the client. Assistance with client support will be expected. This will help you build relationships with our clients and understand the business further.

Once you have a good understanding of our system and our clients, you will contribute to its on going improvement through functional design and will then develop your project management skills in delivering these changes to the clients. If that’s not enough, pitching to potential clients is also part of the role.
